One of the most anticipated models in SIG Sauer's Legion family of pistols is here. The new SIG Sauer P229 Legion Compact SAO offers everything shooters have loved about the SIG P226, but in a compact, single-action-only model. The P229 is finished in the proprietary Legion gray PVD coating. Other notable features include a SIG Mastershop-inspired trigger, custom G-10 grips with a Legion medallion, and SIG Electro-Optics X-RAY3 high-visibility sights. The pistol ships with three magazines, and is offered at an MSRP of $1413. American Rifleman's Joe Kurtenbach caught up with SIG Sauer's Phil Strader to learn more about this much-awaited pistol.
