Armed Citizen® Today

An armed man was shot and killed after aggressively confronting a married couple in Rio Verde, Ariz., according to local authorities.

Police say the 45-year-old approached a 31-year-old man and his wife around 10 p.m. on July 1, and during the confrontation, the aggressor had a gun and aimed it at the couple. The husband then shot and killed the suspect. Both remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.

Police did not disclose the details of the confrontation and say the investigation is still ongoing. (The Arizona Republic; Maricopa County, Ariz; (7/2/24)

Eighteen-year-old babysitter Julia Roman got a .357-cal. revolver from the next room when she heard someone breaking through a window at 3 a.m. in a Chicago home where she was minding two small children.
