Police in Tupelo, Miss., arrested a burglary suspect after a resident woke up during the attempted crime and held the miscreant at gunpoint. Officers said the intruder broke into the home in the middle of the night. After dogs in the home started barking and woke up their owners, one resident grabbed a gun and tracked down the bad guy and, aiming at the man, ordered the stranger to stay put while another called the police. The Armed Citizen® Extra
A father and son came to the rescue of a man and woman being held at knifepoint in a parking lot of a shopping center. The couple had been standing and smoking cigarettes when a would-be robber walked up to them and produced a knife, eventually threatening to kill the woman. Fortunately, the man and his son were sitting in a vehicle nearby, observing the assault in progress, and went to help the couple. They displayed their handguns to the criminal and ordered him to drop the knife and get on the ground. The delinquent complied, and police arrived a short time later and charged him with aggravated robbery. (Tyler Morning Telegraph, Tyler, TX, 3/13/17)
