The guest of a resident defended a Mount Oliver, Penn., apartment he was visiting when an intruder tried to force his way in on June 8, 2021.

The incident began around 8:30 a.m. that Tuesday morning when the 21-year-old intruder, an ex-boyfriend of the 19-year-old resident, damaged the resident's car and started a confrontation with her. The resident then retreated back into her apartment with the intruder following. He then attempted to violently force his way in.

A guest of the resident, who was in the apartment at the time, responded to the hostile situation by arming himself and firing at the intruder. One round struck the intruder in the leg, who then jumped into a car and fled the scene. Both the resident and the guest called authorities after the incident. Police found the wounded intruder a short time later with non-life-threatening injuries and took him into custody. (wpxi.com, Pittsburgh, Penn., 03/16/2021)

Cathelene and Robert Price were preparing to leave their Indianapolis, Ind., home when a car pulled into the driveway. A man in the car took a shot at the couple in an apparent robbery attempt, but a neighbor came to the Prices' aid. Before the armed man could shoot the neighbor, the neighbor fired with a shotgun, critically wounding the man. (The Republic, Columbus, Ind.)

Why the Murder Rate Quickly Fell to a Likely Historic Low

If the gun-control Left is to be believed, then the murder rate in the U.S. should be going up. After all, gun sales and ownership rates have been rising for the last few decades and anti-gun groups claim that gun ownership is the cause of violent crime. This, of course, is nonsense.
