An armed Texas man shot and killed two robbers who attempted to steal money from him in San Antonio, Texas.

At 1 p.m. on Friday, July 7, the armed citizen, a man in his 20s, drove to a Chase Bank ATM 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio. As the man attempted to withdraw money from the drive-up ATM, two strangers, also in their 20s, drove toward him and allegedly attempted to take his money.

The man drew a handgun and fired at the would-be robbers, killing them both. "It was a robbery that didn't go well for the robbers," said San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus. (FOX News; San Antonio, Texas; 7/7/23)

Despite being warned, a prowler who had been banging on a window of Gary Junghans’ Junction City, Kan., home burst through the door. As the intruder approached the bedrooms where Junghans, his wife, and son were, the homeowner repeatedly told him to stop, with no results. Junghans picked up a gun and fired once, wounding the man, who was held until police arrived. (The Daily Union; Junction City, Kan.)
