A man in San Antonio, Texas, was forced to defend himself when an alleged robber attempted to steal his vehicle at a gas station on April 26, 2022.

The man had pulled into a QuickTrip gas station to refuel and was pumping gas into his Honda Accord when a truck pulled up alongside his car. The driver of the truck then got out, walked around to the driver's side door of the man's Accord, opened the door and got in. The stranger then attempted to drive off with the car.

However, the intended victim did not cooperate with the fiend's plan. The owner opened the passenger side door and got in, entering a struggle with the would-be car thief. The robber put the car in reverse and hit the gas pedal during this struggle, sending the car shooting backwards over a sidewalk. It was then that the car owner drew a firearm and shot the robber multiple times, ending the attempted heist. The stricken robber was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, while the car owner was uninjured in the incident. (ksat.com, San Antonia, Texas, 04/26/2022)

Posing as a customer, a man who entered Kenneth Tong's Boston, Mass., coin shop suddenly drew a pistol and tried to make off with three gold coins estimated to be worth $10,000. As the armed robber fired twice at the storekeeper, Tong returned fire with his own licensed revolver, wounding his assailant in the exchange of gunfire. The coins were recovered from the suspect's pockets. (The Herald, Boston, Mass.)

Why the Murder Rate Quickly Fell to a Likely Historic Low

If the gun-control Left is to be believed, then the murder rate in the U.S. should be going up. After all, gun sales and ownership rates have been rising for the last few decades and anti-gun groups claim that gun ownership is the cause of violent crime. This, of course, is nonsense.
