A police manhunt in Walton County, Fla., ended on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, after the suspect was held at gunpoint by three armed residents of the property onto which he trespassed.

The 37-year-old man was sought by police for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle. Officers attempted to pull over the truck, which had been painted black by the suspect in an alleged attempt to throw law enforcement off his track. During the traffic stop, the man fled the scene and eluded pursuing officers.

Thirty minutes later, police were called to a local residence, where they discovered the suspect laying face-down on the ground, surrounded by three armed men. Police took the man into custody without incident. Police noted that the man is also being questioned in connection with multiple thefts in the surrounding area.
