Armed Citizen® Today

A homeowner in Lincoln County, W.V., acted in self defense when a nude intruder tried to force his way in on the morning of April 12, 2021.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. when the 28-year-old intruder broke into a residence while completely naked. The intruder began banging on the door to force his way in, alerting the 60-year-old homeowner. The homeowner promptly grabbed a gun and went to respond to the threat. A single shot was fired by the homeowner, which wounded and subdued the nude assailant.

The intruder was struck in the shoulder by the shot and he was later taken to a local hospital in stable condition. Authorities stated that no charges will be brought against the homeowner in the defensive shooting. (wsaz.com, Huntington, W.V., 04/12/2021)

From the Armed Citizen® Archives December 1991

Alerted when she saw a strange car drive up and the occupants knock on the door, a 19-year-old woman got a rifle and hid in a bedroom closet. When the men broke through a cellar door and entered the bedroom, she stepped out of the closet, trained the gun on them and ordered them out. They fled.
