The 5.7x28 mm cartridge is back in a big way in 2020, with several companies rolling out dedicated firearms chambered in this blazing-fast, small-caliber round. One of the biggest introductions is the Ruger-57, which provides a flat-shooting handgun capable of holding 20 rounds of 5.7x28 mm.

There are several unique elements that make the Ruger-57 stand out in the marketplace, such as its partial delayed-blowback operating system and its milled slide that allows for the addition of a reflex optic. However, the big news on the Ruger-57 is the price. This gun comes in at half of what other comparable models cost, providing an affordable option for fans of the 5.7x28 mm cartridge.
