To reduce recoil on some of its harder hitting rifles, Ruger has introduced a new muzzlebrake system on three models. However, if you belong to the category of shooters who prefer recoil to the deafening noise that results from using a muzzlebrake, you can swap it out for a weight. While eliminating the deafening noise, the weight also puts your bullet at the exact point of impact. The muzzlebrake system is available on three Ruger rifles: the Guide Gun, African and Magnum Hunter models.
