Product Preview: Packin' Neat Organizer

When NRA-certified instructor and concealed-carry advocate Kristen Franke began to integrate a handgun into her daily life, she faced a dilemma: If carrying off-body, how could she prevent the firearm from ending up in a jumble of everyday items at the bottom of a purse or briefcase? Then too, how could she easily transfer the gun and other essential items quickly from one purse to another or to a briefcase or pack?

   

Her solution would ultimately result in a series of organizers, now covered by a U.S. patent, that incorporate a series of organizational compartments—including one for a firearm with a removable holster to position the gun in a convenient, consistent manner ready for quick presentation in an emergency. The idea is more than a little clever, as it allows the user to simply grab the entire organizer, complete with a gun and other daily necessities such as a flashlight, knife, sunglasses, keys and more on board, and move it from purse to purse or from a purse to a briefcase or backpack to suit each day’s fashions and activities.

         

Domestically manufactured using the highest quality materials, such as 1,000 denier nylon, the organizers’ edges are bound with nylon seam tape and sewn with heavy duty thread. Each one stands on its own on a flat surface and comes with a simple pocket-style holster that can be inserted into the raised firearm compartment to allow for either left-or right-hand draw. The compartment has a mating hook-and-loop tab to keep it in place and a magnetic-closure-secured flap on top that can be left folded out of the way. The larger organizers have a catch-all area to accommodate all manner of everyday items, and all feature compartments on the outside to keep important items in their place.

 

Sizes range from the Mini, for small purses and the subcompact holster, to the Boss, for larger purses or bags, to the Skinny, for thin or divided purses or briefcases, to the Tactical, which fits most medium purses. Holster sizes include the Compact and Subcompact for semi-automatics, the Revolver and Large Barrel Revolver for wheelguns and even one for firearm-shaped pepper spray devices.
