Brownells provides high-quality gunsmithing tools and firearm parts, and has tapped Satern Barrels to produce a premium barrel made from 416R stainless steel and chambered in 7.62x39 mm. The Red Army cartridge is a capable fit within the AR-15, and this 5R, button-rifled Satern barrel provides great accuracy with its 1:10" RH twist. The 16" barrel is ported for carbine-length gas systems and cut to fit a 0.750"-diameter gas block. Each barrel is made in the United States and is nitride-treated for corrosion resistance. A 7.62x39 mm bolt is included, and the barrel is threaded 5/8x24 TPI for accessories. Price: $326. Contact: Brownells, Inc.; (800) 741-0015; brownells.com.
