The Schmeisser S60, manufactured in Germany and imported into the U.S. by American Tactical, is a polymer detachable-box magazine for .223 Rem./5.56x45 mm NATO-chambered AR-15s that doubles-up the capacity of conventional 30-rounders, while standing only 2” taller. Measuring 1.75” at its widest point, the S60 weighs approximately 8 ozs. empty and 1 lb., 15 ozs., when fully loaded. The magazine functioned well during our testing, however, it was only after wearing in the S60’s follower spring a bit—filling and emptying the magazine several times—that the full 60 rounds could successfully be loaded. The magazine MSRPs for $69.95. For more information, please visit americantactical.us.
