Rim Thickness Gauge

Inconsistencies in rimfire ammunition brass are quite apparent, which is why competition and target shooters, dedicated varmint hunters and enthusiasts turn to a nuanced process to gain an extra edge in performance—batch-sorting rimfire ammunition.

This process is made easier with a simple accessory for dial calipers from Hornady. The 17-22 Rim Thickness Gauge eases sorting of .17 Mach 2, .22 Short, .22 Long and .22 Long Rifle rim thicknesses. With the additional supplied bushing, the unit can be converted to measure .17 HMR and .22 WMR ammo.

A safety lanyard is included to prevent accidental dropping of loaded ammunition. MSRP is $49. For more information, please visit hornady.com.
