Hunter Education

The National Rifle Association of America is pleased to announce that more than 100,000 hunters have completed its free online Hunter Education course, which was launched in 2017. NRA pioneered the hunter-education concept in 1949, and the new course offers a fresh, comprehensive approach to educating the next generation of hunters in America.

Comprised of 15 chapters, the program features videos, interactive modules, audio, graphics and diagrams that make it easy to get new hunters into the field. For hunters, the free program has saved an estimated $2.5 million compared to the fees associated with other online hunter education courses.

Additionally, state wildlife agencies can now claim a dollar value of the NRA’s online Hunter Education course as in-kind match funds that enable them to access Pittman-Robertson grant funds. nrahe.org
