Smith & Wesson Model 36 Field Ethos Revolver

Smith & Wesson has announced the release of the Lipsey’s Exclusive Performance Center Model 36 Field Ethos revolver. Engineered using high-quality materials and top-notch design, this limited-edition J-frame is designed with a blend of iconic features and enhancements to meet the demands of modern shooters. The Model 36 Field Ethos revolver is chambered in .38 Special +P and has a five-round capacity. It uses the Classic No-Lock frame, and the 1.88-inch barrel features a blued carbon-steel finish that pairs extremely well with the installed Tyler Gunworks premium walnut stocks.

Out of the box, this model ships with a fixed, gold-bead front sight and integral notch-in-frame rear sight, ensuring a classically reliable sight picture. As a product of Smith & Wesson’s Performance Center, this Model 36 has work done on the trigger, with an action job that results in a smooth, consistent trigger pull. This particular revolver is double-action only and features a bobbed hammer to aid in concealment. On the side plate it displays a specially engraved Field Ethos trademark.

In addition to upgraded sights, stocks and engraving, the discerning Smith & Wesson revolver enthusiast will note the unusual pairing of the exposed-hammer frame (the storied Chiefs Special designation) with a double-action-only operation. The latter is typically found in the enclosed-hammer frames commonly referred to as the “Centennial” designation (because the first model was released in 1952, to commemorate Smith & Wesson’s 100th anniversary). This is a limited-edition chance to own a unique revolver.

For a one-of-a-kind revolver with both aesthetic and practical upgrades, balancing longstanding craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology, check out the new Lipsey’s special Smith & Wesson Field Ethos Model 36. MSRP on this exclusive, Performance Center-tuned revolver is $1,099. For more information on this revolver and other firearms from Smith & Wesson, visit smith-wesson.com.
