Patriot Ordnance Factory, Inc. (POF-USA) has been an innovator in the modern sporting rifle field, choosing not to clone, but improve the classic AR-15 design with a slew of patented updates. New for 2025, the company is attempting to introduce its products to a wider audience by offering two entry-level rifles, with the LMR BASE and P-15 BASE.

The Light Modular Rifle (LMR BASE) is built on POF’s award-winning small-frame .308 Win. design. It uses a direct gas-impingement operating system and features several of POF’s patented innovations, including the E2 dual extraction chamber, roller cam pin and anti-tilt buffer tube. The barrel is 16.5” and is made of 416R stainless steel with 1:8” twist 6R rifling and its muzzle threaded 5/8x24. A mid-length gas system connects to a non-adjustable, low-profile gas block. Furniture is an A2-style pistol grip, MFT Minimalist buttstock and 15” free-floating handguard with M-Lok slots at the 3-, 6- and 9-o’clock positions and a M1913 rail along its entire upper surface.

The LMR BASE has an MSRP of $1,359. California-compliant models, with a MFT Engage featureless grip, pinned MFT Minimalist stock and 10-round magazine have an MSRP of $1,399.

The P-15 BASE is designed around the company’s 5.56 NATO platform. Like the LMR, it is a direct gas-impingement design that incorporates POF’s patented technology. Its 16.5” premium barrel is made of 4150 steel, has 1:8” twist 5R rifling, and is given a nitride finish. The gas system is mid-length and the rifle has the same furniture package as the LMT.

The P-15 BASE has an MSRP of $1,000. California-compliant models has a Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter Mod Kit installed and come with a 10-round magazine, with an MSRP of $1,019.
