Colt Defense LLC has acquired Colt Holding Corp., parent company of Colt’s Manufacturing Company LLC, combining the two companies that produce products under the Colt name for the first time since their split in 2003.
Colt Defense produces rifles and carbines for the military, law enforcement and sporting markets, while Colt’s Manufacturing Company builds firearms for the civilian and sporting markets. Now a single company will manufacture and sell firearms under the Colt name for all markets.
