Once largely considered the realm of military users, the category of Personal Defense Weapons (PDWs) has been recognized as having applications in the civilian world, where such firearms bridges the gap between pistol and rifle. As more of these types of guns have been introduced in recent years, C&H Precision saw fit to introduce its STRYKR, an optic designed specifically for use with PDWs.

The STRYKR is a hard-use, enclosed-emitter optic designed for PDWs and compact carbines.

The STRYKR is an enclosed-emitter red-dot optic that was designed specifically for the Flux Defense Raider Pistol Chassis. The Raider, which replaces the grip module on the SIG P320 or P365, gives the pistol a larger format, with a spare magazine speedloader system, a retractable stabilizing arm brace and a larger optics mounting platform with a Picatinny rail.

Brightness buttons are placed within a recessed housing.

The STRYKR uses a multi-reticle design with 12 brightness settings.

The STRYKR’s chassis is machined from 7075 aluminum with a 0.846-inch x 0.773-inch viewing window. Its red Multi-Reticle can be selected between a 3-MOA dot, a 33-MOA circle or a combination of both the dot and circle. It has 10 daylight brightness settings and two night-vision settings, adjusted by controls that are protected by a recessed housing.

The STRKYR has a side-mounting battery that can be changed without removing the optic.

Power is provided by a CR2032 battery, which has a life rating of 50,000 hours. Battery life is aided by a Smart Power Management system that powers the reticle down after five minutes of inactivity and can be powered on with Motion Control Technology (“shake awake”) system that turns the reticle back on. The battery loads into the side of the optic and can be changed without removing the optic from the firearm.

Also designed for use on compact carbines, the STRYKR comes supplied with a riser.

A vacuum-purged and IPX7 waterproof certified design, the STRYKR and its Picatinny mount are equally at home on carbines, and a 0.76-inch riser is included. The optic weighs 3.68 ounces. It has an MSRP of $350.
