Proof Research is known for chasing lightness with its innovative carbon-fiber barrel technology, and the company's new-for-2021 Tundra rifle is the next step in the evolution of a lightweight, long-range hunting rig.

“The design of a Monte Carlo stock is timeless and a long-running staple for hunting rifles," said Kelly Streiff, vice president of sales & marketing for Proof Research. "We took this timeless design to the next level by adding adjustability. At 7 lbs., the Tundra is an already incredible hunting platform, before the addition of any optics or muzzle devices. The last thing a hunter needs to worry about is the weight of their rifle system. There are many lightweight rifles out there, but many come sacrificing accuracy for weight. The Tundra embodies everything that we stand for, which is to develop a lightweight rifle that maintains and delivers extreme long-range accuracy.”

At the heart of each Proof Research Tundra rifle is a Defiance Machine Ruckus action, which is paired with the company's Sendero-contour carbon-fiber barrel, which is purpose-built to provide extreme accuracy at distance. Despite the lightweight, sleek design, these rifles come with Proof's sub-1/2 MOA accuracy guarantee. The barrel is topped by a 5/8"-24 t.p.i. threaded muzzle.

This barreled action sits inside a lightweight carbon-fiber stock, complete with a Monte Carlo-style adjustable comb. The rifle is outfitted with a BDL-style magazine and also features a TriggerTech trigger that provides a crisp, clean break and short travel.

Available chamberings for the Proof Research Tundra rifle are as follows: 6 mm Creedmoor, 6.5 mm Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, 7 mm Rem. Mag., 28 Nosler, .308 Win., .300 Win. Mag., .300 WSM, .300 PRC, .300 RUM and .338 Lapua. The rifles are also available in a variety of finish options. The starting MSRP for the Proof Research Tundra rifle is $6,999.
