Leupold launched its all-new lineup of VX-3HD riflescopes in 2021, aiming to provide hunters with a durable, lightweight optic that excels in low-light performance. This new riflescope line is built with Leupold's Elite Optical System, which is designed to provide enhanced light transmission in low light, as well as improved clarity and glare reduction.

“The VX-3HD builds upon the long tradition of our award-winning VX-3 line of Gold Ring riflescopes, which has served hunters and shooters for more than 40 years,” said Vici Peters, Gold Ring product line manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “The 3HD brings high-definition performance and comes packed with features that make it the best scope in its price class, bar none.”

Each Leupold VX-3HD riflescope is built with a 3:1 zoom ratio, giving you a generous magnification range that enhances your capabilities at distance without handicapping you for short-range shots. This zoom ratio combined with the enhanced resolution and clarity offered by Leupold's Elite Optical System is designed to give hunters the best all-around optic for their dedicated platform. A Guard-Ion lens coating protects the glass from dirt, dust, water and oil, ensuring that your sight picture is unimpeded when the time comes to take that one perfect shot.

Other features found in the Leupold VX-3HD optics lineup include a removable throw lever, so you can make magnification changes quickly and easily. Don't want another snag point on your field kit? This lever is removable, and Leupold includes a thread-protector plug that you can use when the lever is removed. You'll also find a customizable CDS-ZL elevation dial, which makes it easy to dial in your optic for longer shots, and the dial comes with the secure ZeroLock system that prevents any unintentional adjustments.

Eight models are available in the Leupold VX-3HD system at launch, ranging from the 1.5-5x20 model on the low-power end to the 4.5-14x40 model at the high end. Suggested retail pricing on the lineup starts at $499.99. For more information, visit leupold.com.
