SureFire announced its XSC series in 2020, a family of new micro-compact handgun weaponlights meant specifically for easier concealability. The smaller frame of the XSC series reduces its footprint for a more comfortable carry and easier draw.

The XSC modules come in at less than 2” long and weight under 2 oz. The series includes three different models, each specifically made to fit a specific host handgun. The XSC-A is made for the Glock 43X and 48 with accessory rail. The XCS-P365 is meant for the SIG Sauer P365 and P365 XL handguns. The final variant, the XSC-HELLCAT, is designed for use on the Springfield Armory Hellcat.

The XCS is constructed of aerospace aluminum that is hard-anodize finished. The design uses multiple gaskets, making it weatherproof and waterproof with an IPX-7 rating, submersion for 30 minutes at one meter. It is powered by a single proprietary rechargeable lithium polymer 3.7V battery. The life of the built-in rechargeable battery is 30 minutes.

A battery mounted gauge indicates remaining battery life. When it’s time to charge, the battery can be detached from the XSC without the need of detaching the whole module from the handgun. The XSC comes with a charging cradle with two charging bays, allowing the user to have a fresh spare battery.

The XCS series has a light output of 350 Lumens shaped into a bright central beam with spill light, shaped by SureFire’s parabolic reflector technology. The XSC also features ambidextrous activation switches that are textured and positioned to sit just next to the front face of the trigger guard for easy reach. The switches provide either momentary-on or constant-on modes with a single press.

The XSC series of micro-compact pistol lights retails for $329. For more information on the XSC series of weapon lights visit surefire.com
