Patriot Mobile—established in 2012 and based in Irving, Texas—is a nationwide, full-service conservative alternative to cellular service providers that funnel part of its profits to organizations and politicians willing to surrender our freedoms and rights. Patriot Mobile’s willingness to openly state its firm belief in the principals that founded this great nation and share part of its proceeds with those dedicated to preserving those tenets is rare in today’s business climate.

The approach has not gone unnoticed and earlier this month the company was named an officially endorsed cellular provider of the NRA. Members will qualify for exclusive cell-phone plans and products, with part of the profits going to further the cause of America’s foremost defender of the Second Amendment.

“This is a great partnership for us,” said NRA President Oliver North. “There is a strong bond between the NRA and our men and women in the Armed Forces. Patriot Mobile is a veteran-led company that has a steadfast commitment to our Second Amendment and the NRA while providing superior nationwide service that supports the needs of NRA members.”

“We have always stood firmly for the Second Amendment and our collective rights to firearm ownership in defense of ourselves, our families and those in need, as well as our right to pursue recreational activities involving firearms,” Patriot Mobile CEO Morri Leland said. “Being selected by the NRA to become the endorsed cell phone service provider of this vital organization is a great honor to our entire team at Patriot Mobile. We look forward to helping advance the NRA's mission to ensure those rights remain intact for future generations of patriotic Americans.”

Leland grew up in South Carolina, graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in systems engineering, and served for more than 20 years with the U.S. military, accumulating thousands of hours of flight time, carrier landings and combat missions. He worked as a Joint Specialty Officer for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and after his service went on to positions in the aerospace and defense industries. He also considers his latest position critical. “At Patriot Mobile we are on a mission to protect and preserve the conservative foundation of this great nation,” he said. “We view the future with optimism and excitement, and we are proud to use words like ‘patriot,’ ‘freedom’ and ‘liberty’ in our daily lives. We give our members a voice—through their dollars—and we join with them to make a difference.”

Company co-founder and CFO Glenn Story brings a business background with more than 25 years of strategic planning, operational finance and controllership to the company. The CPA holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Texas and spent 15 years in New York City growing companies.

Patriot Mobile has also built a staff with an enviable wealth of expertise in the telecommunications field. Everett Trost, vice president of operations, has spent more than 20 years working in the industry, with positions at Qwest, Grande Communications and Logix Communications throughout the years. “For me, it is all about the member and working for a company that aligns with my values,” he said. Another key team member, Ron Montgomery, adds another 25 years of knowledge, with stints as vice president of GTE and vice president of operations for Verizon under his belt.

Customer service is a key component at Patriot Mobile, with Dominic Passaniti serving as manager of member experience and Dan Weinstock director of sales & member services. The pair’s diverse backgrounds range from management positions with companies billing in excess of $1 billion annually to key roles in Fortune 500 firms.
