Drawing on its extensive background crafting tactical nylon gear, clothing and other soft goods, 5.11 Tactical developed the RUSH series backpacks for situations ranging from everyday use through the exigencies of a dire emergency. The RUSH 12, 24 and 72—named for the first half- full- or three-day period of that often proves critical—have capacities of 24, 37 and 55 Liters, respectively, and offer a number of common features, including: water-resistant 1050-* or 1000-denier (MultiCam) fabric construction; adjustable sternum and contoured yoke shoulder straps; compression straps; MOLLE/5.11 SlickStick web platform compatibility; hydration pocket; internal admin compartment; and glove-friendly zipper pull tabs. Accessories, such as TIER System straps, which allow the docking of a smaller pack to a larger one, and the TIER Rifle Sleeve, which allows a long gun to be carried vertically centered on the pack, make the RUSH series even more versatile. A USA version of the 72 is domestically produced—albeit at a much higher price. (*Black, Double Tap Black, Sandstone, Storm, Flat Dark Earth and Tac OD.) Retail prices for the packs range from $100 to $500. For more information, please visit 5.11tactical.com.
