Video—Dallas NRA Show: SIG Sauer 365 Ammunition

The SIG Sauer P365 was probably the most talked-about pistol introduction at SHOT Show 2018—and rightly so—after all, a 9 mm 10-round capacity (12 with an optional extended magazine) micro-compact pistol doesn't come along every day.

Now SIG has released companion ammunition365which they say has been optimized specifically for the P365 pistol, with a goal of softening the recoil that often accompanies compact guns intended for concealed carry.

Keeping with SIG's intent to provide a smooth transition from training to carry, the 9 mm 365 is initially offered in both SIG V-Crown hollow points and SIG FMJ rounds in 115-gr.—a weight that makes sense for the smaller pistol. Both are loaded on the same machines, use the same brass and are loaded to the same pressures.

American Rifleman's Joe Kurtenbach caught up with SIG Sauer Vice President of Ammunition Bud Fini at the 2018 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits to learn more about SIG's decision to produce this ammunition. See the video here
