Is it possible to marry the positive characteristics of a double-stack striker fired 9 mm pistol with the classic 1911's single-action trigger? This is exactly what Hudson Mfg. is striving to do with the all new H9 semi-automatic pistol. The H9 9 mm semi-automatic is designed to be a best of both world solution with its 1911-type trigger that incorporates the Safe-Action-type safety lever often found in striker-fired pistols.

The straight checkered grip frame, beaver tail frame extension, trigger guard and magazine release mimic the 1911. In keeping with it's striker-fired action, there is no grip safety or thumb safety. The H9's other features include a 4.28" barrel, a stainless-steel slide, an insert chassis and a double-stack magazine for a capacity of 15 + 1 rounds. Despite what may sound like a Franken-gun blend of features to some shooters, the H9 showed real promise during the Industry Day at the Range here at the 2017 SHOT Show with reliable function and solid handling.
