Smith and Wesson’s line of M&P Shield single-stack semi-automatic handguns now includes two ported barrel models. Available in either 9 mm Luger or .40 S&W, the new guns feature ports in both the barrel and the slide, helping to mitigate the light firearm’s muzzle rise during recoil. Weighing just 18 ozs., these upgraded versions of the M&P Shield wear HI-VIZ fiber-optic sights (green up front and red in back) and retail for $519.
