Dedicated to the cowboy stars of the motion picture industry, the Silver Screen Legend XVIII gun drawing—to raise funds for the Happy Trails Children’s Foundation— features a matched pair of engraved, consecutively numbered Colt Single Action Army revolvers and an ornate holster rig in which to carry or display them. In total, the museum-quality prize package has an estimated value of $35,000.

Unique to these particular guns is the fact that they have been engraved with the brands of 13 of Hollywood’s most famous cowboys. Included are such notable cowpokes as: Rex Allen; Gene Autry; Hopalong Cassidy; Wild Bill Elliott; Monte Hale; Buck Jones; Joel McCrea; Tom Mix; Montie Montana; Dale Robertson; Roy Rogers; and two for John Wayne.

This pair of single-actions is silver-plated with blued screws, features hand-carved steer head stocks and is chambered in .45 Colt. The accompanying double Buscadero belt and holster rig is likewise emblazoned with the same brands that the revolvers bear.

Total proceeds from the drawing benefit the Happy Trails Children’s Foundation, a charitable non-profit organization that works to help abused and at-risk children. The Foundation, started by NRA Life member Roy Rogers, is a leading children’s charity that actively supports the shooting sports, Second Amendment rights and responsible gun ownership.

The prize revolvers were generously donated by Colt Mfg. Co. and the guns were engraved and custom tuned by Conrad Anderson of Rocktree Ranch—who also created the gun belt’s silver spots, conchas and buckle sets. The steer head stocks were crafted by Bob Leskovec of Precision Pro Grips, Jim Lockwood of Legends In Leather handmade the double holster rig and Ron Love created the prop cartridges.

Tickets for the Silver Screen Legend XVIII drawing are $10 each or 11 tickets for $100, and can be ordered by mail, telephone or online. The drawing will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, and the winner will be notified by phone. Donations are tax deductible.
