Winchester Deer Season XP

Winchester’s center-fire Deer Season XP ammunition was announced last fall but made its official rollout at the 2015 SHOT Show. Expected to be on store shelves by May 2015—well in advance of the fall deer season—the first-of-its-kind ammo features Winchester’s Extreme Point bullet. The over-sized polymer tip is designed to produce rapid expansion and provide massive impact trauma—hence the brand's slogan, "Bigger Tip, Bigger Impact."

Deer Season XP will be available in eight initial offerings: .243 Win., .270 Win., .270 WSM, 7 mm Rem. Mag., .308 Win., .30-06 Sprg., .300 Win. Mag. and .300 WSM. The .243 Win. round will have a 95-gr. bullet; .270 Win. and .270 WSM will be at 130 grains; 7 mm Rem. Mag. will be at 140 grains and the .30-cal. cartridges will check in with 150-gr. bullets.
