DoubleTap Defense has received a Design and Utility patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the DoubleTap Tactical Pocket Pistol.

Issued in August, the Design patent provides DoubleTap Defense with design patent rights, and demonstrates that it is a new and useful product.

"We at DoubleTap Defense are thrilled to have received Design and Utility patents for DoubleTap Tactical Pocket Pistols," said Ray Kohout, inventor of the DoubleTap pistol. "What started as my own personal vision of the ultimate concealed carry on a scrap piece of paper has been validated by our loyal customers. The issued and other pending patents will protect our flagship product from copy cats in our marketplace and allow us to continue to bring new evolutions of firearms systems to the American public."
