Ruger SR1911 Commander

When Ruger rolled out its SR1911, it was a big deal. So it shouldn't come as any surprise that the company has decided to expand its 1911 line. The logical first step? Releasing the new SR1911 Commander. The Commander has a 4.25" barrel, Novak Style Sights and walnut stocks. Just like its big brother, the Commander is all stainless steel. It ships with a pair of 7-round magazines.

Sheriff Jim Wilson got his hands on the Commander at SHOT Show 2013's Media Day at the Range, and he deemed it a great choice for personal defense, right out of the box. If you know Sheriff Jim, you know that's high praise. Get his full take in the video below:
