Although the Model 1871 Mauser was a German-made rifle, it was most famously used in 1916 by Irish Volunteers to fight off British insurgents in what is known as the Easter Rising. Watch this "I Have This Old Gun" segment from a vintage episode of American Rifleman TV to learn the Model 1871's role in this important event in Ireland's history.
