Armscor had what may prove to be one of the most popular new guns available once it actually hits the market. Crowing “we succeeded,” the company has managed to pull off an M1911-style pistol in .22 WMR—that’s right, a GI-style .22 Magnum rimfire! Called the XT-22, the gun features a Parkerized finish and rubber stocks. Its delayed blowback operation features an open-top slide with what appears to be a floating chamber arrangement that abuts a fixed 5" barrel. The pistol holds 14 rounds of .22 WMR ammunition in its proprietary magazine, which the company claims was three years in development. Both front and rear sights, while plain-Jane, are dovetailed in place, and the trigger breaks at between 4 and 6 lbs. armscor.com
